- 🗓️ The meeting calendar, because that dictates your real timeline.
⚠️ One rule worth internalizing: verbal approval is not approval. A friendly board member saying it will be fine has no standing if a complaint arrives two years later. Everything you rely on should exist as a written approval with a date on it.
🔍 The eleven clauses that actually decide it
1. Are accessory structures permitted at all?
Some associations prohibit detached outbuildings outright. Rare, but it exists, and it is the first thing to rule in or out. Look for the terms "accessory structure", "outbuilding", "shed" and "greenhouse" specifically, since some documents name greenhouses separately from sheds. 🏗️
