Answers to the most common questions about our wood greenhouses.
No full concrete slab required. The greenhouse sits on a flat, stable surface with the four corners anchored - ideally set in concrete. Concrete footings or pads are also an option, especially in very windy areas.
Most owners build it over a couple of weekends with a second pair of hands. Every part is pre-cut and labeled, and the manual walks you through each step. Professional installation can also be arranged.
Yes, and the rating is the same across the range. The Snug, The Lodge and The Homestead are each built to withstand winds up to 115 mph and 32 PSF of snow load, about 3 ft of snow. The solid 18 mm timber frame and the pitched roof carry the load and shed snow, and the toughened safety glass resists hail without clouding or cracking.
The Homestead comes in unfinished Nordic spruce, for a raw natural look you can treat yourself, or in a painted dark gray finish for a more contemporary garden feature.
Very little. The timber arrives treated, and a coat of wood oil once a year keeps it rich and protected. The toughened glass wipes clean and won't yellow or cloud the way plastic panels do over time.
Instead of thin aluminum and plastic that fades and flexes over time, you get solid natural wood and toughened safety glass - materials built to last well beyond a typical large greenhouse kit.
